Cocoro Cross — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Cocoro Cross (the “Service”) operated by EmTrip Inc. (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Application

  • These Terms apply to every relationship between you and us concerning the provision and use of the Service.
  • We may also publish a Privacy Policy, guidelines, and other supplementary rules; those form part of these Terms.

2. Definitions

  • Owner AI: a conversation feature modeled on the persona of a partner shop owner (including FAQs, knowledge excerpts, and web references).
  • Guest mode: usable without sign-in; conversation history is not retained on your account.
  • Signed-in mode: sign in via email or Google; conversation history is saved for continuity across devices.

3. Service

  • You can access the Service via QR code or web link and, after choosing a language, a shop, and either sign-in or guest mode, chat with the Owner AI.
  • The Owner AI treats the FAQs and conversation materials prepared for each shop as its primary information, and refers to public web information when needed.
  • The Service provides AI conversations with personas of partner shop owners across Japan. Multilingual support is provided (currently Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, and Portuguese).

4. Age & Eligibility

  • Some partner shops are alcohol-related (sake breweries, etc.). We never recommend alcohol consumption to anyone under 20.
  • Users under 20 must not use alcohol-related features. Minor users require parental consent.
  • The Service does not provide medical, legal, or investment advice.

5. Pricing

  • At present, the Service is provided completely free of charge.
  • We may introduce paid features in the future. In that case, we will clearly disclose pricing, billing start date, and the scope of paid features in advance.
  • No automatic billing will occur without your explicit purchase action.

6. AI Limitations

  • AI responses are generated content. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or timeliness.
  • When the AI references external web sources, links may break or contents may change. Citations indicate the existence of information, not its accuracy.
  • Alcohol-related content explicitly states prohibitions on underage drinking, drunk driving, and binge drinking.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not violate laws or these Terms; infringe rights of us or others; encourage underage drinking, drunk driving, or excessive drinking; engage in defamation, discriminatory expression, undue load on systems, reverse engineering, scraping, or unauthorized secondary use of generated content (impersonation, false attribution, etc.).

8. Intellectual Property

  • All intellectual property rights in the Service belong to us or the rightful owners.
  • You may use AI-generated outputs for personal or legitimate internal use. For commercial use or republication, please process the necessary rights.
  • For content you post or send, you grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use it for operating and improving the Service, and for joint use with partner stores (Privacy Policy, Section 6).

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties. We disclaim liability for direct or indirect damages except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, subject to applicable consumer protection law.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court covering our head office.
